The Opportunity

The ZRO technology is a utero-tubal occlusion device that is inserted within the ostium of the fallopian tube. The ZRO prevents conception by sealing the fallopian tube with ostial tissue ingrowth, resulting in permanent birth control. The ZRO device design allows the sterilization procedure to be performed as an office based procedure. Currently available hysteroscopic instrumentation and accessories can be utilized for placement of the ZRO. The Company is also designing equipment for the placement procedure that will facilitate the procedure and further reduce costs.

The Company believes that the ZRO is superior to both surgical procedures and other similar products used for female sterilization. The ZRO is cost effective, may be inserted with a minimally invasive procedure, and provides permanent sterilization.
